About the department

The Department of the Premier and Cabinet is the Queensland Government's prime coordinating and policy development agency. It aims to ensure that all Queenslanders receive public services of a consistently high quality.

Publications

Divisions

The Department of the Premier and Cabinet has four main sections:

Governance division
The department's governance division provides corporate support services to the department.

Policy division
The policy division develops and coordinates strategic policy advice and is the central policy agency for the Queensland Government.

Cabinet Services and Implementation
Cabinet Services provides administrative and operational support to Cabinet, Cabinet Committees and Community Cabinet meetings.

Indigenous Government Coordination
The Indigenous Government Coordination office drives the government's priorities for remote Indigenous communities. A key role of the office is to oversee the implementation of the Cape York Welfare Reform trial.
